Next James Bond: Tom Hardy, James Norton & Idris Elba Are Top Three Betting Favorites
Mia Fernandez The 25th James Bond film, No Time to Die, won't be released for another five months, but that hasn't put a halt to the next 007 rumors.
Last year, Daniel Craig confirmed that he'll be leaving the James Bond series after No Time to Die, his fifth 007 film. Craig's replacement hasn't been decided yet.
A long list of big-named actors have been linked to the Bond rumors, but nothing has been set in stone. It's anybody's guess who the next 007 will be, and when Craig's replacement will be revealed.
Tom Hardy, James Norton and Idris Elba have been frequently mentioned as possible candidates to become the new 007. Those three are also the current betting favorites on Sky Bet (via Oddschecker).
Hardy, The Revenant and The Dark Knight Rises star, is presently the betting favorite at 3/2. Norton carries the second highest odds at 5/2, followed by Elba at 9/2.
Sam Heughan - who once auditioned for James Bond and recently expressed interest in taking on the role - is fourth at 6/1, followed by Richard Madden at 7/1.
Lashana Lynch will star alongside Craig in No Time to Die as Nomi, another 00 agent. She and Tom Hiddleston share the sixth highest odds at 8/1.
Jack Lowden (9/1), Cillian Murphy (11/1) and Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Henry Cavill (14/1) are also among the other betting favorites.

There will be no shortage of compelling and quality candidates to choose from, but again, there's no timeline on who the series producers will choose. For now, let the rumors continue to fly.
Six different actors have portrayed James Bond. Sean Connery and Roger Moore each starred in seven (the most of any Bond actor). George Lazenby did the one film, On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969).
Timothy Dalton took over for Moore and did two films before the role was passed on to Pierce Brosnan (four films), before Craig suited up for the next five installments in the series.
