Dolly Parton is giving fans another reason to love her. The country queen has promised to pay tuition costs for workers at her legendary Dollywood theme park should they decide to further their education. The initiative, which will benefit 11,000 workers, was met with widespread applause from fans and fellow famous faces.

Dollywood’s parent company Herschend Enterprises announced on Tuesday that Dollywood will pay for the entire tuition costs, fees, and books for its employees for their higher studies.

And it doesn’t end there. The company has also decided to fund partially or up to $5,250 a year for additional 150 programs in the fields of engineering, hospitality, human resources, and art design.

“When our hosts strive to grow themselves, it makes our business and our community a truly better place,” said Dollywood Company president Eugene Naughton. “We care about our hosts’ development and we want their future to grow because of love, not loans.”

“It will allow employees at all levels to pursue their personal and professional dreams,” he added.

Dollywood has a reputation for treating its employees well. Along with free tuition, the company offers its employees access to the Dollywood Family Healthcare Center and offers apprentice and leadership training programs. The park also offers to pay a portion of employee child care costs for those who need it.

The announcement had many applauding the I Will Always Love You singer as a “national treasure” and “among the best of us.” Comedian Rosie O’Donnell responded to the news on Twitter, calling Dolly “an angel.”

American politician Charles Booker also thanked Parton and said that she is truly appreciated.

Dolly has yet to comment on the announcement, but such a philanthropic effort from the country crooner shouldn’t come as a surprise. Since the 1980s, Dolly has supported many charitable efforts and founded the Dollywood Foundation, which grants scholarships and awards to high school students.

The Jolene singer has notably helped fund research for Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine and had previously raised money for Smokey Mountains wildfire victims in 2016. Last summer the singer teamed up with Jeni’s Ice Cream with profits from her strawberry pretzel treat going towards her Imagination Library program.
